AZN -___-

I'm obsessed with Asian street style. They are clearly the best dressed people on my college campus. The mix of colors, patterns, layers, and scrunchies is weirdly inspiring.

I wanna be Gwen Stefani... Who doesn't though?
My own attempt complete with Hello Kitty.

And my AA tutu from Christmas of course!

Give it a go, no?

On Christmas Eve I had my last shot at Christmas shopping at Pioneer Place. So naturally, I went into the newly installed H&M to try on things for myself. Tutu's, tafetta, and ruffled silk caught my eye with the two short racks of Lanvin for H&M clothing. It was picked over, but I had to try the pieces on. Here are my embarrassing myspace/dressing room phone pics to dictate the journey. Ignore my jbrands and biker boots, aren't you ever too lazy to take them off too?

Tafetta sleeved dress. I would totally wear this everyday.... if I had an office job. This could be b-caj... maybe?
Ah the pink and ruffled goodness. I loved the dropped waist, wide neck, and bubble gum pink. My mother quickly shut it down however deeming it too "Carmen Miranda" see below.

And here it is. The literal tent of grey tulle. It is beautiful and fancy and ridiculous. I wanted it, but couldn't justify the $295 price tag for a dress I don't have an event for. If I had anything I could maybe, sorta, kinda wear too, I'd have snatched it up. I tried it on again 2 days later and let it free. Within 2 minutes a platinum blond had it at the register ready for purchase. Enjoy it while I weep.

After Math

I know personally after seeing Black Swan I had the sudden urge to dress like a prima ballerina all the time-- besides having constant nightmares and being afraid of bathrooms, mirrors, and masturbation.
I know that all of these reactions are not solitarily being experienced by me. Especially after viewing the BCBG holiday catalog. They were also clearly inspired by the tulle, lace, pastels, and shapes found in the costumes in the movie of the season. The first dress is so reminiscent of the dress that Nina wears when the director announces her as the lead.

PS how perfect is Natalie Portman?
She A. is beautiful. B. Harvard graduate. C. great style. D. amazing actress. E. vegan. F. classy! (refuses to do fully nude movies) Anyways I could go on but she's my new obsession.
Mile Kunis is pretty hot too.

Rodarte for Black Swan

So incase you weren't already sure you wanted to see Black Swan, did you know that the famous pair who make up Rodarte designed the costumes?

I can already tell this has immense potential to become my new favorite movie.

So I kinda want pink hair...

Ultimate Girl Crush

Ever since her Hudson Campaign she's been all over the map! I love her unique look and flawless style. And gap in her teeth, sometimes she makes me I wish I didn't get braces... Keep it up Georgia Jagger with your perfect genetic makeup. Going from paparazzi photos to covers, jean companies to haute couture, what's next.

Any one else think the Forever 21 models are copying the Nasty Gal ones...?

Nasty Gal:

Forever 21:

Eh? Eh?
Rip off if you ask me.
actually it might be the same model...

The result

1. Alber Elbaz is the cutest thing
2. Loved the fun make up & hair accessories, they really add to the show
3. HUGE bummer that I only saw ONE, yes one, Lanvin dress left over at the new H&M in Portland
4. The poofy dress, also seen on Rumi is a personal favorite, but none of you were probably surprised by that.

I just peed a little from excitement

PORTLAND OPENING NOVEMBER 11th. WISH I WAS THERE!

Remember this?

Athletes. Models. Fashion. Everything I love. Enjoyyyy. Remember how controversial the cover was? I think the red "horns" coming out of Lebron's head are totally by accident for the record.
