Copycat

While browsing through downtown today, my mother and I made our usual stop in the BCBG store because of the 50% sale going on (great things, hit it up). And we could not help but noting the striking similarities to the Proenza Schouler spring 2010 line that was featured in about every fashion magazine at least 3 times this spring. BCBG did a great job capturing the trend. It's cheaper and a great option for the same, surfer, tropical kind of vibe. Plus they had cool mesh additions. But as always, nothing is as good as the real thing.

BCBG Spring RTW 2010

The one,the only, Proenza Schouler Spring RTW 2010. The look on the right... Ubiquitous to say the least.

Fish Out of Water

Sorry I've taken a long hiatus, but am finally getting inspired again and have a lot to say with all the fall magazines and trends poking their heads. So here is a treat for you, I know I have always wondered how to do the fish-tale braid. It seems impossible. The regular 3 strand is nice, but a bit preteen for my taste. Free people was nice enough to take out the mystery for us all!

Acne X Husam El Odeh

The über cool jean company, Acne, teams up with the jewelry designer Husam El Odeh to create a masterpiece. Skinny jeans with plated knee pads, thighs, and shin guards. The concept is entirely original to me, slightly resembles a suit of armor. I mean that in the best way possible! Wish I had $2000 to blow on these puppies.

Chloe personally wears my favorite version -black plated with gold.

Mustache Monday

If I was a boy, a mustache would definitely sit atop my lip. I think they are the bomb. Part of that 70's/80's/hipster scene.

Après un haitus très loin...

So sorry about the long break from blogging! I've been trying to mend a boy's heart along with his wall and as a result my blogging has suffered. But! I am back.
Slightly old news in the fashion world-- the knit queen, Sonia Rykiel, teamed up with H&M for a stellar collaboration. While I the knit dresses weren't quite my style, I found some barbie wedges that suited well. I wish the lingerie was still available!

Want it. Body suit in the middle.

Rose bud tap shorts and bra.

There they are, although they have been bad luck for me lately...

What the rest of the line looked like.
